Monteiro | Eau Claire, WI United States | 07/27/2001 (5 out of 5 stars) "Since the date of purchase, I listen to this CD (Shalai) over and over again, especially on the weekends. Extra Musica ranks amongst the greatest Soukouss bands today. This CD serves as a good example to support this statement. This CD gives you the pleasure to either dance or just sit down, relax, and appreciate the beautiful coordinations and complexities of rhythms, melodies, voices, etc. Among others, the following tracks bear me out: Matongi, Horizon, Laissez passer, and Sissi l'imperatrice (Check them out). Having been a great fan of Soukouss music for a long time, I have never heard any bad comments about Extra Musica. Therefore, I am glad I bought this CD to include in my collection."
