No other band features so much vocal talent and guitar mastery. All songs are broken into two parts and feature one of the best animators in soukouss, Kila Mbongo. His hard charging "Zanguilo" style is very popular all over Africa. Roga Roga' rythmn guitar is superb and all the songs are well arranged especially the hit song "Racines". Listen for the dramatic drums pauses and crescendo towards the end of most songs, this is an Extra Musica trademark. This Cd puts Extra Musica up there right now with Koffi Olomide and Wenge Musica as one of the best active soukouss bands. "Etat Major" features five lead vocalists so expect to be mesmerized and seduced by the rythmns."
