CD Reviews

BEST NEW METAL BAND TO COME OUT IN YEARS!!!!
E. Ferrigno | LOS ANGELES | 08/26/2008
(5 out of 5 stars)

"EXMORTUS IS A BREATH OF FRESH AIR!!! THEY'RE YOUNG(NOT EVEN 21 YET) AND GIVE A NEW MEANING TO HEAVY METAL. THEIR SOUND IS LIKE IRON MAIDEN,METALLICA,AND DIO ALL ROLLED IN TO ONE. THE VOCALS ARE A BIT DEEP, BUT YOU CAN STILL UNDERSTAND THE LYRICS. THE LEAD SINGER SOUNDS A BIT LIKE MAX IN HIS EARLY SEPALTURA DAYS. EXMORTUS HAS IT ALL, LONG GUITAR SOLO'S,HEAVY RIFFS. AND THEIR SONG WRITTING IS VERRRY MATURE FOR SUCH A YOUNG BAND. THEY REMIND ME OF EARLY METALLICA (MATURITY WISE).

ANYWAY THIS IS AN AWESOME BAND, NO BULL!!!!!! THIS IS A COMPLETE BAND, NO FLAWS. ALL THE SONGS KICK BUTT!!!! TRUE METAL HEADS WILL LOVE THIS BAND. FOR FANS OF METALLICA, MAIDEN, DIO, DEATH, SOULFLY, SEPALTURA

THE BAND IS FROM LOS ANGELES INCASE YOU WERE WONDERING.

Best new Metal EVER!!!
Nathan E. Richards | Tucson, AZ USA | 07/26/2009

"Honestly this is my first review for a cd ever on amazon, but seeing as how there is only one, it is officially my duty to say that this cd is nothing less than amazing. These guys from what I hear are fairly young, this is their freshman effort, and that just makes it even better. Hearing triumph by fire on satellite radio sparked my interest in them, and trust me this song is awesome, its got brutality, technicality and just plain catchiness. The great thing about this album is to all the people that want to label bands as different styles of metal that don't fit their styles, Exmortus is really just an old and new school metal that might not be an eye opener to a new genre, but damn its good metal. This day and age with three days grace and drowning pool considered to be metal, its great to see a band like Exmortus come out kicking and screaming with amazing talent to show the world metal is far from dead!"
