Eroc has been a pioneer of electronic music in Germany since the 60's. Back in those times he was busy creating his own unique blend of harmonically stimulating sound structures and sonic escapades, which he refined in his amicably named 'home studio' with the help of his own blend of self-built electronics components. At that time one could already get a good sense for his sensibilities as to feel, aesthetics and melody. However his compositions at that time were presented only to an audience of privileged friends via headphones, or to the 'green fields'. In 1970 after he called Grobschnitt into life, his musical horizons began to expand. Although his prime role in the band was as its drummer, his sound experiments soon formed the basis of musical interludes during shows. The mix of electronics seen behind him on stage became legendary. The sonic carpets he laid under such songs as Solar Music contributed to their becoming signature pieces. This compilation shows the variety of his work and features 4 bonus tracks.
