"This is a great and largely forgotten sound.Imagine Bill Haley rock, Glen Miller arrangements, heavy on the horns, and you pretty much get whats going on here. This isn't art, just horn based instrumental rock, perfect for a party or poker game.Note that all of Ernie's hits all clicked in a two year span, which seems to bracket the very small period of time this kind of music was hot. It's something of a shame that no one else picked up on this sort of be bop horm slam...but the album will wear thin after a while.Fields puts together a great and hopping sound, but he is truly a one-trick-pony. This is a great album to own and rediscover a couple times of years, but you won't play it weekly.Just simple, innocent fun. A relic, perhaps, but a great one."
