"Tracklist: 1 Solar City Radio Mix -4:13/ 2 Solar City Club Mix -9:21/ 3 Solar City Dub -8:32/ 4 Red Rocks In Your Face Mix -8:38/ 5 Q and K Trust Dub -8:40/ 6 Tony Estrada Dub -7:50/ 7 Van Cleave Remix -8:32/ 8 Nix Deep Dub Mix -3:24 (+ 9 hidden/repeated Solar City Club Mix -9:21)Erin Hamilton has proved to be a just-as-professional but highly independent alternative to the sugar-sweet, major-label Diva darlings like Amber, Cher and Kylie. Her unique, deep vocals are immediately recognisable and have been missed since her last club track "The Flame" hit in 1999 on Trax. This new recording -out on Jungle Red Records, is another cover version but, like her successful versions of "Dream Weaver" and "The Flame", Erin makes it her own and together with her talented Producers turns it into another blinding dancefloor anthem. Already a big top 20 US Club hit, "I got the music" comes complete with a whole bag of solid, powerhouse remixes that have all been put onto this value-for-money maxi single. Scott Anderson (AKA Solar City) kicks off the party with a full-on dancefloor explosion. Keeping Erin's vocals well upfront, Anderson gets every body on the floor moving with rumbling basslines, hard synths and pounding beats; as good as the best from Hex, Johnny or TP. The Red Rocks Mix is quite naked in comparison but again, provides a decent backdrop to Erin's showcase vocals. The dub mixes by Q & K and Tony Estrada aren't highly exciting but I can imagine them heating up a dancefloor quite nicely. Next up: the excellent Van Cleave Remix is a deeper, softer alternative to the big commercial Solar City version -with a classy breakdown at the 6 minute mark. Finally: the harder, faster, progressive Nix Dub provides a quick 3 minute fire -with Erin's repeated vocal line "I heat up" running above the dancefloor drama. A sure-fire hit. If you like Suzanne Palmer/ Kim English/ Kristine W and pop babes like Amber and Kylie, then you're gonna love this! It's good to hear her again. Erin, we want MORE!"
Best yet!!
