"You have to wonder, did Erik Lindgren ever wear an eyeball? After listening to his work, I thought that at first. But, then, I realized that Erik Lindgren has a great ear for sound and quality control. Make no mistake about it, Erik Lindgren is a master of 60's rock and avante garde. A quick listen to his recorded material during the days when he was a part of TNT and, also, music he recorded under the name "The Space Negroes" will give you an appreciation of the diversity of this talented artist. Erik Lindgren is a combination of many artists: The Residents, Laurie Anderson, Todd Rundgren, and Frank Zappa come immediately to mind. However, Erik's music is very complex. You have to listen to it a few times for it to sink in. That being said, this is really not the best place to start if you are new to Erik Lindgren. To really get a taste of Erick Lindgren, I recommend "The Space Negroes Series", volumes 1 through 3 and "The Space Negroes do Generic Ethnic Muzak Versions of Psychedelic Songs from the 60's." In these collections, you will become acquainted with Erik Lindgren's diverse background in 60's music -- such as Iron Butterfly, Tomorrow, and the Moving Sidewalks. Considering the noise that is being passed off as music these days, Erik Lindgren is a breath of fresh air. For those who like 60's psyche -- and want that genre expanded -- then look no further, you found it with Erik Lindgren. Rock on, Erik, you're great. Thank goodness for Arf! Arf! Records."
