CD Reviews

Beautifully interpreted poetry...
proofreader | USA | 12/07/2000

"While all of the songs are masterfully written and performed, this album is worth buying just for "Flight". The lyrics are absolute poetry, the melody is beautiful and haunting, and Eric's interpretation is mesmerizing. I have listened to this song over and over and it never fails to enthrall me. Other highlights include "Life on Earth", "Old Movies", "Just a Housewife", and "The Things I Learned in High School.""
1000 Thumbs Up for Cast of Thousands!

"Eric Michael Gillett is pure joy to hear. He sings from his heart on a number of Craig Carnelia classics in this fine album. A more brilliant voice I have not heard in a very long time. If you've ever fallen in love, had your heart broken, gone to school, watched a film in black-and-white, dreamed a dream, played baseball, had a best friend, or just wondered, this album is for you. I fall in love with Eric's voice every time I hear him sing and this album is no exception. I highly recommend it to one and all."
An absolute belter!

"This is a stonker of an album! I discovered Craig Carnelia's work on Barry Manilow's Broadway album and what a thrill to find a whole album of his wonderful, wonderful songs. Even better, with a singer of genuine stature to perform them. "A kid inside" and "Come on Snow" sent me right back to school days, "Old Movies" is as clever a song as you'll find and, my particular favourite, "Fran and Janey" sums up a lifelong relationship and the choices made in life in a perfect (and beautifully constructed) little song. Its also wonderfully sung by Messrs Gillett and Carnelia. I really cannot rate this album too highly."
