Grows on you

"This is probably my most listened album from 2007 and I still don't know why. Every song is simple, catchy and completely distorted. Not distorted like screaming white noise, just really complicated textures that sound wrong in a really good way. Kind of like when a cd player skips or someone gets feedback on a microphone and it sounds better than whatever was going on before. You can tell Copeland is in the Black Dice, but this record doesn't have as much tension as theirs usually do. It's just at home with the weirdness. Check out Tree Aliens or Spacehead if you want to decide to get this."
