CD Reviews

I see im not the only one

"For some reason there are a number of releases under the Animals name that are complete forgery. I bought this piece of crap at a TOWER RECORDS!!!. These arent the original songs and probably not even the same band. The sound quality is horrible and on top of that these covers are horribly executed. It sounds more like a bad lounge singer. DO NOT BUY if you see this anywhere!!"
Thank Goodness For Real Classic Rock Fans

"After reading literally thousands of reviews for numerous rock albums on Amazon.com...I was finally compelled to respond to one - though not yet to write my own. Thank you, "ANIMAL FREAK," for alerting us - otherwise unaware - to reality! Too many times classic rock fans are taken in by such albums as this. Too many times one of two scenarios takes place, either: the fan is young enough not to remember the actual release, and therefore the album name, or; the older fan was never able to buy the album when it was current. But thanks to people like you, who take the time to enlighten the rest of us, we, too, will not be taken by such ridiculous business-oportunisitic-ploys! Eric Burdon is an amazing musician. Whether with the Animals, War, or solo, his music is well-worth discovering or re-discovering. But if Animal Freak (especially when noticing that screenname) says this album is a SCAM, then BELIEVE him, and do NOT give a penny to the company of such a fraudulent ripoff!"
Re-cuts with new band
Richard Dahlke | San Francisco, CA | 08/18/2008

"This is album is a 'best of'...sort of...!! Eric resings these tunes with a new band, so the tempo and production is different than the original 'album/radio' version. This is nonetheless a good album as it features the mainline songs, sung slightly different. Soul and emotion is still there in the tunes.

Not for people looking for 'The best of EB album/radio' versions...!!"
