Synopsis

Amazon.com
An album on which Bogosian--actor (Talk Radio, Under Siege 2, Deconstructing Harry), playwright (Suburbia), and stand-up philosopher--records the one-man show of the title for posterity. Over the course of the disc, he portrays characters as varied as a homeless subway resident out to infect the world with bits of himself, an infomercial-style motivational speaker with a surprising message, an Easy Rider-wannabe drug dealer, a recovering male, and even a Bogosian wannabe. And while he's dead-on when he impersonates an audience member at the show--"What's so great about him? All he does is play assholes. I have enough assholes in my life already. Who needs one more?"--his self-honesty makes the album no less entertaining, engaging, or worth listening to. --Randy Silver

CD Reviews

The power of theatre
02/25/2000
(4 out of 5 stars)

"This one man show is a perfect example of why live theatre can be on the most exciting places on earth. I prefered his last show "Sex, Drugs, Rock and Roll" but this CD is certainly as excellent."
Eric Bogosian and one excellent piece of performance art
08/22/1999
(5 out of 5 stars)

"Often the words performance art is enough to scare a person, but this CD is excellent. Bogosian's observations and wit are as sharp as ever. I also reccomend the book by the same name."
