CD Reviews

ERA is back!
Horacio Becerra | Long Beach, California USA | 02/09/2010
(5 out of 5 stars)

"It was a great disappointment to listen to the previous ERA album REBORN. In my opinion, Sinfoni Deo and probably Prayers were the best two songs of the entire album. But ERA Classics is just more than what I had expected from ERA. I've always enjoyed listening to classical music and now with the ERA touch on these well-known classics, I really have to say that this could be my favorite ERA album so far!

In my opinion, song #5, Bach (Air) & Ritus Pacis & Concerto No.3 (Yes, that is a combination of three songs in one and this is for most of the songs) is the best of all! I was really thrilled and surprised to listen to the young, beautiful and pure Gregorian voice of Pope John Paul II reciting the Ritus Pacis in Latin. To me, this song is just awesome!!

All songs are just great. However, ERA continues to include songs from previous albums: in this case, ERA Levi & Sombre Day appears from ERA THE MASS again and Sinfoni Deo from REBORN appears again here, but very different. In my opinion it is much better than SINFONI DEO from REBORN. Probably, song #10, Barber & Adagio for Strings is not as great as the rest of them.

I keep listening to this album over and over and all I can say about it is what I feel when I listen to all the songs. And to me, there's only one word to describe them: Great!!!
