CD Reviews

Outstanding Debut
Keith Shelton | Marquette, MI | 02/19/2008
(4 out of 5 stars)

"The Epochs are possibly the best band to come out in 2008. They bring a fresh, original sound, electronic undertones, and pop sensibility.

The beat and vibaphone on "opposite sides" is incredibly addictive and catchy - even if the high pitches of the vocalist takes a little getting used to.

"Mouths to Feed" is another standout track that also implements the xylophone sound with an electronic beat. It really works for them.

The album also has some fun summery, playful tunes like "Love Complete"

all in all, this is an outstanding debut album by a band to watch out for. I gave it 4 stars because I think it lacks the consistency of a 5 star album, but they definitely have 5 star sound and potential. Check these guys out."
Killer new band
Mark Robinson | San Francisco, CA USA | 01/05/2010
(5 out of 5 stars)

"This album ROCKS! Definitely has a retro feel but there are modern elements too. It reminds me of Rush mixed with Them Crooked Vultures, somewhat proggy but doesn't hold back on the hard riffs and sweet guitar leads. I like the references to "Night Of The Living Dead". Definitely will be rotating in my player."
Super Group
Stephen M. Martin | 05/09/2008
(5 out of 5 stars)

"The best new group I have heard in years. The Beat and Vocals just work."
