HE'S B-A-A-ACK! EMO SERVES UP SPICIER HUMOR AND COLE SLAW
Squirrelygirl (Linda Ward) | Dublin, CA. | 12/10/2001
(5 out of 5 stars)

"After a long absence from the comedy scene, Emo Philips returns!
Although the hair and wardrobe are different, the humor and delivery are still pure Emo. His whacked out view on life is still...well, whacked out.. but it's also occasionally a notch more adult oriented. It's difficult to talk specifically about a comedy CD without giving away punch lines but this is some funny stuff. At one point, Emo's response to the sight of someone going through his garbage made me literally collapse on the floor laughing. And I don't do that a whole lot. Really! If your view in life contains any of the following words: eccentric, strange, weird, demented, bent, quirky or bizarre, then check out Emo on his very funny CD. He just may be your cup of cole slaw."
Dr Oddball's back

"This is the goods. Not as strong as his old bit, but still worth the money. This CD ended too quickly, and I sat for minutes waiting for a hidden track that didn't exist. Emo's back, but I can't get over his change of apperance. This one's worth it."
Finally, Emo on CD - now if we'd just get the rest...

"I've been waiting for an Emo CD for years. This is after seeing Emo several times in concert (a couple of times in the 80s and a more recent viewing in San Francisco). Emo's LPs, E=MO2 and at the Hasty Pudding, are comedy legends. This CD brings us up to date, kind of presenting the best of Emo's humour since those LPs. Some of the jokes on the CD are old (I heard them live back in the late 80s) while some are new. But, regardless, they are all quite a joy to hear. Now, if someone would just get on the stick and get those two albums releases as CDs, we could all live in peace and harmony. (Sony Canada has given in to my demands, so now all is as it should be)"
