CD Reviews

The Most Amazing Album of the Year
Carmen C. Castro | 06/18/2008
(5 out of 5 stars)

"Elliot Schneider's Surreal Survivor Album is a precious gem that belongs in any collection of fine music. When you hear the opening track you have a taste of what's in store. Combining Beatles elements with the Stones and twisted well with Elliot's special brand of musical genius, you know you are in for something extraordinary. The second track, Outside-Inside Man will blow your mind. It's hard to pick a favorite here, but this one comes very close with Queen of Adventure hard on it's heels. This is a fresh, feel good, pleasurable album to delight and tickle your musical senses. It is also a musician's album with technical purity that other artists will appreciate. A must have! I believe in this album. It is pure ecstasy! A true musical star has been born in Elliot Schneider, one that will shine brightly for many years to come!"
A Bay Area gem
Alan Lewis | 06/18/2008

"Good to see this album available for download -- I've still got the original vinyl! A great collection of tunes from one of San Francisco's underappreciated bands. "Aftermath" era Stones meets California freeways."
Rockin' Fun or Fab-Gear?

"What can I say about Surreal survivor that hasn't already been said?

Certainly, I'll be surprised if there's a song on the album that doesn't bring a smile to your face.

This compilation includes music of several eras with both witty and poignant lyrics and vocals that are both reminiscent of The Stones and Elvis Costello. Musically creative, the sounds show influences of the Beatles, The Stones, The Cars and punk era as well.

It's kind of like having a favorite hits album on the all Elliot Schneider channel. Not so bad. If you've never heard Mr. Schneider, he's definitely worth a listen."
