U.S. Premier for this Italian Superstar!

"I first heard Elisa and saw her perform on a PBS special in December 2007 when she performed with Andrea Bocelli on what has become a DVD: Vivere Live in Tuscany. I was amazed at her voice, her performance and thought to myself: "Who is this? I've not heard of her." After doing some research, I found out she was a #1 singer in Italy, and I started to research her catalog.

It was a time of one "Wow!" moment after another - everything that I listened to was absolutely amazing. I started buying her releases, and in about 2 months I had accumulated everything out there by her, including a phenomenal live performance DVD/CD filmed in Milan, Italy in 2007.

And now those of us in the U.S. will be privileged to share in this national treasure of Italy!

Elisa's voice goes from sweet tenderness on through the full spectrum of emotions - listen to the title track (made popular by the Fox TV show "So You Think You Can Dance"), to the emotive "The Waves" and "Rainbow" (the first single from the CD); then listen to the sweet, gentle song of love "Yashal" and the beautifully sung Leonard Cohen cover "Hallelujah".

Whenever she sings, whatever the style, it is always from her heart, from her soul - there is an honesty in her music that is incomparable. Elisa is a wholly refreshing discovery, and I encourage you to give her a listen, sit back and enjoy, and go to see her powerful performance live this Fall as she tours the U.S.

"I am an artist, music is my muse and inspiration. I have a library of just the right music, for just the right painting adventure. After hearing "Dancing", by Elisa, on "So You Think You Can Dance" last year, to a dance choreographed by Mia Michaels, I became obsessive about that song, as well as the video posted on You Tube. The music was not available on Amazon, but would be at some point. Huh! I just couldn't believe it... I wanted it NOW! lol Where can I get "Dancing", I kept thinking. Since I could not find it at the time, I posted the You Tube mentioned on a couple of my Squidoo lenses. A month or so ago, Elisa's name popped up on Amazon, while I was doing a search for other music. I was so excited, "Dancing" had been released to the US! Yay!

I was alone when I played it for the first time, so I turned up the volume and stood in my living room and just took in the magic. Yes, I LOVED it!! "Dancing", which is played twice is of course my favorite, my second being "The Waves", it's a perfect song to take flight in. Her lyrics to all of her songs are insightful and beyond her years. "Little Over Zero" is an anthem to all who mean to reach higher. As I listened to the music, there along in my living room... I danced and then I went out to my studio, Elisa's, "Dancing" in hand and painted."
'DANCING' - a stunning album for Elisa's US debut

"I came across Elisa's music more than ten years ago. That young girl had a stunning voice and a great talent. I immediately fell in love with her music, music that was full of hopes, feelings and courage. I found myself connected to her lyrics describing the world around me, through a different set of eyes, with simplicity and passion. Life is shown in each one of Elisa's songs, even when pain was part of life itself. "Never give up" is what Elisa tries to tell you ("because then comes the Sun", it is like a law you cannot infringe...ever).

Her US debut album "Dancing" collects some of her beautiful ballads. It shows a side of Elisa's music that represents perfectly what I wrote above. You won't be disappointed, I am sure.

Purchase this album if you look for something different.

This project started when a song by Elisa was played on the "So You Think You Can Dance" talent show. The song was "Dancing" and dancers Lacey Schwimmer and Kameron Bink managed to express the spirit of the song thus helping it shine. A few days later it was up to dancer Sabra Johnson who danced to "Rock Your Soul".

The album includes some other beautiful ballads such as "The waves", "Rainbow", "Life Goes On", "A Little Over Zero", "Stranger", and "Electricity" (dedicated to a dancer). Each one of these songs has and is a story. A memory.

I was told that a lot of dancers like dancing with Elisa's music. I thought about it and realized that it's just amazing. It's just art expressing itself. And art can't be stopped. Just like life."
