CD Reviews

Like Nothing Else

(5 out of 5 stars)

"Elevator's music is so beautiful, dramatic, catchy, addictive, and strange that it's almost unbelievable that more people don't know about them. "Elevator Parts 1-3" is a compilation of the first two elevator albums, plus some newer material. Each song is wildly different from the last, with sounds that range from fuzzed out guitar to perfect casio pop, but words fail to describe the feeling of listening to them. Get this album and listen to the best band no one knows about."
A Must Have

"This is a collection of the early recordings of elevator to hell. you can feel eric's trips on this album eventhough it moves beyond those limitations. an excellent album with fuzzy accustic guitars and rick whites beautiful songs and melodies of life and it's surroundings!"

"I love this album. The songs are catchy, smart and beautifully written (recalling Sebadoh or Nick Drake at times), and an overall vibe prevails that's hard to explain...an ethereal, almost nostalgic sadness that's completely overwhelming. Falling asleep to this record is a beautiful and frightening experience. Find a copy if you can."
