Founded in November 2004 the band ELECTRIC OCEAN was formed at the last minute to compete in Battle of the Bands in San Antonio TX. Electric Ocean is described as an American rock/metal band with a progressive European sound. After winning battle of the bands the group decided to continue performing and create a show quite unlike other performances in the entire region. Ben Pigott elevated the group beyond your typical stage production. Envisioning a show where the music met visual image he consulted several creative designers including Hollywood Bill Peace. After months of collaboration Electric Ocean unleashed their light show and production upon the audience gatherers. Event sponsors such as Harley Davidson, Myspace and Toyota latched on to Electric Ocean to capture the attention of their patrons. The group recorded their first album produced by Jason Hatch and was released the fall of 2007. Video production is underway with plans for Video release of Telepathy and Bone of Contention early spring of 2008. Electric Ocean is now pushing as one of the up and coming nantional groups to challenge mainstream music in the United States and abroad.
