CD Reviews

"Too Much Of Heaven" (Eiffel 65's 3rd Single!)

(5 out of 5 stars)

"This is the greatest "Too Much Of Heaven" Single you can get because it has alot of mixes, edits, and remixes of the song! It also has a video clip of "Too Much Of Heaven!" I think it is a really great video! Also there is a secreat bonus Eiffel 65 video on the disc too! (You'll have to buy it so know what is is!) This song has great vocals and is fun for dancing, listening, club, and more! It never gets old!"
Good pop song, but the remixes are weak

(3 out of 5 stars)

"With its melodious piano loop, catchy downtempo rhythm, and thoughtful lyrics, "Too Much Of Heaven" is one of the best songs from Eiffel 65's aptly-named album _Europop_.This CD has six audio tracks and two MPEG video files. Tracks 1 and 2 are edits of track 4. Track 3 is an edit of track 5, which is the album version. So basically what this single gives you is two new versions of "Too Much Of Heaven". The original is still the best by far. Gabry Ponte's mix is slow and clubby, sounding a lot like his mix of "Move Your Body". It's alright, but not very exciting. The "Fantastic R & B Slice" is a weak me-too attempt at setting the song to an industry standard hip-hop beat. The music video is entertaining and has a good, clear picture. The Italian trio actually pokes fun at itself, parodying its explosive rise to commercial success and subsequent plummet into uncoolness. Unfortunately the accompanying sound quality is poor, and the frame rate could have been smoother. The bonus video is a laughable half-minute teaser for "The Zorotl Project (I Wanna Be)", in which "the little blue alien goes solo". It previews an unreleased song that sounds like an outtake from _Europop_, with the blue alien running and singing with a green one. The world waits with baited breath."
