CD ReviewsIt's Shostakovich, not Meisel! 12/14/2000 (2 out of 5 stars) "Although this CD purports to present Edmund Meisel's music for Sergei Eisenstein's film "Battleship Potemkin," it is actually a string of cues from Dmitri Shostakovich's symphonies, which are used in certain prints of the film as the soundtrack. As a scratchy sampler of Shostakovich's music, it works fine. If you want to hear Meisel's music, however, look elsewhere in the catalog."
