Synopsis

Album Description

After recording with brother Johnny, Edgar was signed to his own record contract with Epic records in 1970. With Epic, Edgar recorded two successful solo albums 'Entrance' and 'Edgar Winter's White Trash', although his biggest success was recording with 'The Edgar Winter Group', which was made up of Dan Hartman, Ronnie Montrose and Chuck Ruff. With this line-up, Edgar recorded the album 'They Only Come Out At Night', which featured his US number one, Frankenstein. On this album, Edgar shows off his many musical talents, including his vocals and performances on keyboards, saxophones and various percussion instruments. For any Winter Brother fans, this album is a must-have!

"CD-1 of "The Winter Brothers" has the same songs as "The Real Deal" by Edgar Winter and Friends. CD-2 of "The Winter Brothers" has the same songs (minus the song Hideaway) as "Highway 61 Revisited" and "Live In America 1978" (both CD's by Johnny Winter). The tracks are excelent live recordings, a must have for your Johnny Winter collection. Beware of the "Duplication Blues"."
