Ace guitarist Eddie Condon is noted for his ability to bring together and perform with many of the real jazz stars of his day including such names as Louis Armstrong, Fats Waller and Henry 'Red' Allen. The artists featured with Condon on this CD would also fill many pages in a who's who of jazz luminaries. The recordings were made as a moral boosting initiative by the United States goverment for troops based in overseas theatres of war from 1941 until 1949 and the recordings on this disc were early examples and also rarer later 1948 editions from the time when Condon was recording with Bobby Hackett and His Dixeylanders. Musicians include clarinetist Pee Wee Russell, trumpeter Sterling Bose, pianist Gene Schroeder, etc.
