"Ed Miller is at home with the exiles in Austin, TX. He's one of the revolving hosts of KUT's acclaimed "Folkways" program on Saturday mornings. He's a very personable man and strong performer.
"Yellow on the Broom" is a tale of the tinkers, the wandering folk of Scotland, which is not often heard. Miller's rendition of Burn's "A Man's a Man" is one of the best I have heard.
I suspect if you buy one Ed Miller CD, you will want the others. My personal favorite is "Lowlander" with strong help from Brian McNeill, one of the founders of the "Battlefield Band.""

"I confess that I have met Ed Miller, and I think he is is very nice person. And maybe that's why I like his music, but I don't think so. He has been a host on The University of Texas radio station for 30 years now, after coming over from Scotland.
I can't get these songs out of my head, nor do I want to. He has a very pleasing voice and does great songs. My favorites from this album are John Mclean March (makes me tap my foot), Yellow on the Broom, Broom O' the Cowdenknowes (classic Scottish song), and the beautiful Generations of Change."
