"Rumors have it that at one time Earl Bostic was cutting even the Bird... yes, Charlie Parker at Jam Sessions at Mintons. Then along came "Flamingo" - - Bostic hit paydirt, forged his formula, and spent his remaining years replicating the formula. Whether you're a Bostic fan or a Bostic basher, this album, originally titled Jazz as I feel It features a little surprize... a very young RICHARD GROOVE HOLMES on organ, and both of them cook with FRENZY. This is one album probably missing from most Jazz lovers libraries, but when you get it you'll realize what a true shame this is. This is a heavy blowing session up to par with Jack McDuff's classic Honeydripper album, in fact if you like this one, its time to dig out those old organ/tenor classics, turn up the volume and get your toes a-tapping. Best of the genre... best of the artist... You won't believe its Bostic ! ! ! ! I still can't ! ! !"
