CD Reviews

Great!!!!

"this cd is incredible. it feature's 8 originals and 2 covers (Bad Luck City, R.L....I got the Blues, Albert King). I was quite impressed on Duwaynes writing ability and his incredible guitar licks never cease to amze me....The more i listen to it, the more i hear an extreme Hendrix influence...its great.

A couple notable songs: Tribute...i'm guessing this is a song for his father and maybe Jr. Kimbrough its quite heart felt. Also "King" for those who have studied the NMAS setlists from a couple summers ago, you will more than likely find this song. the first line "I be so high, i don't even know my name."

The title track is a great way to start off the CD. and for those of you who own "live at the mint" the last song "Hard Candy" is reincarnated on this album as "Hard Candy Part II"..a great guitar instrumental...

I have heard Luther, Cody and Chris were in the studio with Duwayne to record a few songs for this album. My best guess, being that it doesn't note which ones, would be the last 4 songs: Bad Luck City, King, I got the Blues, Hard Candy Part II. The bass playing and drumming styles are a little different that the first 6 songs.

hope this was helpful.....

"For an avid music fan of all types of music. This was a real treat. I had the good fortune by chance of catching Duwayne Burnside live in Charlotte NC before I ever heard of him. I have since bought all his CD's. I can't get enough."
Not his father

"Duwayne Burnside is a first rate guitarist and a mediocre singer. I have seen him in person and loved his show. However, he does not translate well when recorded. By all means, go see him live but otherwise, Under Pressure is for fans only."
