Synopsis

Album Description
Guillaume Dufay (ca. 1400-1474) was the first great master of the so-called Netherlands school of composers, and one of the greatest masters of Western music. In his works, Dufay combines in masterly fashion English influences with Franco-Flemish and Italian tendencies. René Clemencic is a composer, conductor, harpsichordist, recorder and clavichord virtuoso, musicologist, and founder/leader of one of the most renowned early music groups, the Clemencic Consort. They have given concerts all over the world and have won international awards ? including the Edison, Grand Prix du Disque, Diapason d?Or and Prix Cecilia ? for their numerous recordings.
