"Is There Something On Your Mind" is probably one of the best alternative ballads of the 2000s. Ignored by the public, but making it onto the "Wind-Up" artist list, the plaintive track of the "Is there Something on Your Mind" still resonates today. Decent CD from a would-be one hit wonder band.

Sweeden Rocks?

(5 out of 5 stars)

"Sweeden used to be home only to sickeningly sweet slick pop bands like ABBA. Lately there has been some great music coming out of Viking territory. First the Merrymakers put out a great Power Pop record, and now the Drowners have released a great guitar rock CD. The Drowners sound like what would happen if you put the Foo Fighters, old Joe Jackson and Weezer music in a blender. It has great melodic guitar rock songs and strong playing. Every song on the CD is great."
The Drowners are on MY mind

"When I heard The Drowners' title track online, I knew I had to have their CD. I figured if the other songs were half as good as ". . .Something on Your Mind", I'd have no regrets.
I was wrong.
All of their songs are as good-if not BETTER- than the title track. The Drowners "Is There Something on Your Mind" is the best impulsive purchase I have ever made! Their music is the perfect blend of rock guitars, good harmonies, and catchy lyrics. Between upbeat pop tunes (Bittersweet, One Star), fast rock songs (Bellingham), and beautifully haunting ballads (Postello), The Drowners grab your attention and keep it-- this coming from someone with ADD. I bought this CD four years ago and I'm still in love with it."
