"Doug Stone is a singer after my own heart.I could listen to this CD over and over and still capture more emotion each time I here it.Doug Stone sings about feelings that all of us feel at one time or another."

"Wow. I'm stumped for words...

I like Doug Stone songs, as a rule. "In a Different Light"? Who couldn't like that? "I Thought It Was You"? Guy-can't-get-over-girl music, always a favorite.

So what's wrong with this CD? Let me count the ways: acoustics, the vocals, the selections, the vocals...

I'm sorry, but this was a HUGE disappointment. It's a 2005 release of a compilation of some of his hits. I actually had to turn it off, it was so bad. I thought he never sounded so off-key; there are times when the singer stays flat for multiple seconds. I couldn't believe it was Doug Stone, the same Doug Stone I'd listened to.

If you read the small print (and I mean magnifying glass small...), SOME of the songs were sung by Doug, but the BULK of them were sung by members of his band. It all became clear.

If you love Doug Stone music, give this one a WIDE'll be majorly disappointed. As for me, I'm wondering how far this thing will fly? I'm walking out to the north 40 to find that out right now!"
