CD ReviewsGreat sampler Brian | Ohio, United States | 08/19/2003 (5 out of 5 stars) "If you want a taste of solo bass but are not sure what to get, this could be a good place to start. The opening double concerto for 2 basses is the Bottesini "Passione Amorosa" with the extra first movement. The disc closes with Karr's famous recording of the Paganini "Moses Fantasy". In between are great performances by Klaus Stoll and Wolfgang Harrer. It isn't the best choice for a sampler, but it is still a very good place to start."
