Critics Love I'm In Love With My Computer

(5 out of 5 stars)

"I'm in Love With My Computer is a charming and clever CD of her own original songs. Add this one to the Best Cabaret CDs of 1998' list. Barbara & Scott Siegel -InTheater MagazineDottie Burman's songs are as sharp, bright and energetic as her teaching. I know because I've heard (and witnessed) both. Nothing can stop that dynamo. She's going to do really well! Frank McCourt, Pulitzer Prize author, Angela's Ashes and Tis.Her CD has 20 entertaining examples. Most are comic, but Burman can write "serious" as well. Max Preo, Editor, Show MusicThis is a compilation of fresh, exciting songs (each one is a gem in its own fashion)! Laurie Lawson - Electronic Link Journey Triumphant! High-quality production values. Certain to make a welcome addition to the CD collection of any cabaret aficionado. Andrew Martin -Applause! Applause! Cleverly funny CD. In addition to the delightful title track, and Dottie's best known song Liberty's Lament, I especially enjoyed Sharing a House,Jennie and Me, and In My Happy Home in HoHoKus. Great entertainment! A source for cabaret performers trying to build a show. Several numbers can easily be worked into revues and shows, including a special I'm So Glad You're in My Life. The song Have a Nice Day has received my Cabaret Hotline Online I Can't Get You Out of My Head Award. Stu Hamstra - Cabaret Hotline OnlineTwo Little Kids in a Sandbox is as sweet and dear as when I first heard it, Don't Get Me Started is an affecting expression of lost love, and Liberty's Lament remains clever and funny.". Roy Sander -BackstageDottie Burman is an extremely talented performer, composer & lyricist. One Step Ahead has the potential to become a monster country hit. Winner of the Leonardo da Vinci Award as Outstanding Country Song of the Year and Dottie is the winner of the Distinguished Artist Award. Dr. Thomas R. Stevens -Beaux Arts Society"
