You get what you pay for - a poor quality "unauthorised" CD

"This release contains material which is out of copyright. This is the sole reason why such an "unofficial" release is made possible.

For this series of CDs the record label crams as many songs onto their set as they can fit. The downside is they haven't officially licensed the recordings from Doris Day's former record label Columbia / Sony Music. Instead they have just sourced the set from old vinyl records and not made any effort whatsoever to deliver a quality product.

As the saying goes "if it seems too good to be true then it probably is" well that definately applies to this poor set as it is a total disappointment from start to finish.

As this is also an "unauthorised" release no royalty will go Ms. Day which I think is quite unfair. If you want to guarantee yourself the best sound quality possible then treat yourself to any of the releases below which are issued by Columbia/Sony Music:

- US CD re-issue of Doris's 1958 hits compilation "Greatest Hits"

- European CD "Daydreaming: The Very Best of Doris Day"
