Synopsis

Product Description
Detroit has always been known for its thriving music scene and diverse musical artists. From the blue-collared heavy music of Bob Seger to the rap-rock of Kid Rock, the city has consistently produced music that has captured the hard-working-harder-playing essence of the Motor City. Embodying this hard-working spirit is singer/songwriter Don Doop Duprie & The Inside Outlaws. Born and raised in the industrial enclave of River Rouge, MI, this son of an auto mechanic and an Avon lady learned early on that hard work and doing the right thing always provided for his family. A veteran firefighter, Doop now conveys that same work ethic and honesty in all aspects of his musical career as a singer/songwriter. Seeking an outlet for his lifelong passion for music and songwriting, Doop founded the first edition of the Inside Outlaws collective with longtime friend and co-writer Ty Stone. The Inside Outlaws are a group of singer/songwriters dedicated to developing new talent through education and networking. Doop garnered three nominations in the 2008 & 2009 Detroit Music Awards for Outstanding Country Artist, Country Songwriter, and for his debut album, Blood River, recorded with legendary Detroit producer Jim Diamond (White Stripes). Blood River featured ten songs that varied from down home country-rock and heartfelt Americana ballads to gritty Detroit rock n roll. It s Americana-Detroit style! The album made the top 10 local CDs list in the Metro Times Best of 2008 issue and also received many favorable reviews from music magazines and websites across the globe. It received significant airplay on a number of Americana, country and rock radio shows worldwide. Blood River by Doop & The Inside Outlaws is the real deal a raw, honest mix of workingman s country and rock n roll from the heartland that swaggers like The Waco Brothers. - Cat (Radio Free Americana DJ) True country music loyalists rejoice! Blood River, the debut album by Doop & the Inside Outlaws, has more twang than you can shake a stick at, but it packs enough wallop to not be categorized as a tear in my beer country album. This album rocks harder than most country CDs I ve heard. There s attitude a plenty. Ray Anderson, TheCelebrityCafe.com A second album - once again with engineer/producer Jim Diamond at the helm - was released in the summer of 2009. Doop recorded with a variety of the Detroit s hardest working musicians; Pete Ballard, Bobby Emmett, Dave Shettler, Chris Codish, Eddie Baranek, Matt Dmits, Whitey Morgan and Ty Stone. The 10-song album, Everett Belcher, is an ode to his grandfather and the people like him; the hard-working individuals who relocated from their hometowns in search of work and a better life for their loved ones and the sacrifices they made to attain it, only to have it all disappear. Doop is dedicating the album, To all the hard-working people in this town that spent the better parts of their lives busting their asses only to see it all fall apart. The album includes his anthem- Burn This City, a workingman s tale called M.F.N.J.O.B. and his rendition of Prove it all Night by Bruce Springsteen.
