Which is Which?

"I have been a fan of Dondria since her YouTubes and I am also an aquaintance of hers as well. First off I am very proud of her for accomplishing her dreams and also repping the Dallas area! Dallas is definitely behind her if no one else is. My complaint about the album starts with the cover. Dondria is a beautiful girl and this does not show that. The back picture is amazing. Anyway...on to the music.

Vocally she's amazing. Crisp and refreshing are words that come to mind when I her sing. It's (her voice) so clear.

You're the One-- Loved since I heard on the radio

Saving Myself-- Uh, not one of my favorites. Seems a little childish and simplistic to me. I have trouble determining the age group this cd is geared too because of this song a few others.

Shawty Wus Up-- I like it but not my favorite choice as a second single. Johnta Austin is an awesome singer/songwriter but the two of them seem like an odd pair. Someone else along the lines of CBreezy would've fit better.

Making Love-- Uses a great sample. I like this song. This starts where I really start to listen. The talking in the beginning is not all that convincing though...lol

Can You Help Me-- This is my favorite track. It gets to the R&B and I can actually hear the emotion in her voice on this song. In previous songs I didn't think she sang with much emotion...seemed disconnected.

Where Did We Go Wrong-- Another great track. Again, it has that great R&B feel to it. Actually has a Destiny's Child feel to it with the background vocals. Yep, a good one.

No More-- Great use of the 21 Questions sample. I feel like this would have been a better second single if they wanted to go upbeat. I can see more women getting behind this. I definitely nodded my head to this one.

Still Be With Me-- It's sweet. Not one of my favorites but I like what her voice and sincerity on the track. This will probally end up being a favorite in a week or so. LOL!

You're The One (remix)-- JD is good at remix's...this was good.

Believer-- Uh...I don't like it. Another kiddie type track. It just doesn't fit to me.

Kissed By the Sun-- I love this song, it's touching and her voice is great BUT it sounds like it belongs in a Broadway stage play. I can totally see it.

Overall, this was a good debut cd. Vocally great but production-wise, it was missing that upbeat banger. Now it's on to the car test. However, I am still trying to determine which is which. If Dondria is the one singing more adult type songs, then I am definitely rolling with her! Again congratulations Dondria...continue to work hard and push this cd. The world needs to know who you are.
