Kirby lays the foundation of this Avant-Garde album with his solid expertise on the upright bass and heartfelt vocals. Feel the spiritual accent on, "This Is What I Need," as the lyrics are straight from the heart. "Who Cares" is a lively little tune with a nice percussive balance. "Bluer Than July Sky" is a strong embodied song that is centered on deep and sincere religious emotions. If you like Gospel music that is captivating and splashed with Jazzy tones in an Avant Garde style, then take a listen to the wonderful melodies on, "Avant Garde."
