Halfway through college and at the end of a perpetually failing relationship, Domenick Swentosky picked up his guitar and gave rhythm and melody to the experience --- he became a songwriter. What came out over the next two years was an album of solid material. "Greytime," charts the reluctant surrender of an old life in exchange for the passionate discovery of new love and deeper questions. As a debut effort, "Greytime" is a completely self-produced project. Recorded in the order the songs were written, Domenick's characteristic full and rhythmic guitar sound and his honest voice lead the album through bluesy/rock tunes and beautiful ballads; his work on the harmonica and saxophone punctuate the journey. It is an inspired album in which no two songs sound the same, and yet each tune belongs with others.
