CD Reviews

Great cd for metal lovers

"Wow, I'm surprised at the above reviews for this great cd. Personally I think "Doomed to Inherit" is better than their first cd (Redemption) in the respect of musicianship and outside influences. And no one mentions the new drummer Elex Marquez? This guy smokes!!! Grind, death and extreme metal all combine to make this one hell of a release. I happily recommend it to all who want to list to some great heavy metal. Divine Empire has let go of the past and forge on with a metal sound all their own. Can't wait to see 'em live!!JW"
JASON BLACHOWICZ RULES!!!

"To me, this is really Malevolent Creation now. Death to all naysayers! Although there are faster heavier deathmetal bands out there (Krisiun, Cryptopsy, Nile, Hate Eternal) to name a few, they don't have Jason on vox. Jason rules! When I think of world class deathmetal vocals, Jason comes to mind. The only others that can match his gravel are the vocalists for Sinister and Kevin Sharp on the first two Brutal Truth albums. Although Derik Roddy cut out on them, the original Malevolent Creation drummer Alex Marquez is now the skin man. With all his experience, he's now pretty good it seems. Needless to say, the Jason on vox era of Malevolent Creation was the s**t. "Eternal" and "In Cold Blood" are by far the wickedest Malevolent Creation recordings. If you don't beleive me, check it out for yourself. Some fools may state that nothing stands out about this band, but they are full of it. These schleps fail to realize that this cd grooves more than most deathmetal. It's just very listenable stuff. My only complaint is I'd like to see them recapture the extreme brutality of "In Cold Blood". Perhaps a second guitarist is needed (Jon Rubin (ex Malevolent Creation) may be a likely candidate). Otherwise keep up the good work! MAY THE EMPIRE STRIKE BACK!!!"
Brutal excellence

"This CD is absolutely brutal. A perfect mix of low tuned, scary guitars.. fast, powerful drum lines (double bass galore!).. topped off by the low growling lyrics, which range in sound anywhere from the likes of Malevolent Creation, to the high pitched shrieks similair to those of Dani from Cradle of Filth.. and even some great guitar soloing at times. This CD should definetly be owned by anyone looking to see what true death metal is really like. ..."
