CD ReviewsGreat Music, Next Best Thing to Live Mary Martino | Atlanta | 01/18/2010 (5 out of 5 stars) "I saw this band in concert in Birmingham and liked the music so I bought the CD. The more I listen to 'The Clearing' the better I like it. The sixth song on the CD is an instrumental called 'Obsidian'. It's a powerful, hard-hitting bunch of wonderful sound, especially when played directly after the fifth song, 'Glassland'. While 'Obsidian' is my favorite (actually, it's made my Top 10 All Time Favorite Song List) I think all the songs are good. There's enough variety in the music: some softer songs, some harder; some vocals, some instrumentals. The only potential drawback to this CD is that the vocals are a bit subdued compared to hearing Disappearer live. But that should just tell you that it's worth it to go see this band live if you get the chance. Meanwhile, I highly recommend the CD for people who like rock music."
