"Din Fiv is a side project of Informatik, and it shows as the two have a similar sound in certain aspects. The main difference is the lyrics and the overall slower pace of the music. The music is still purely electronic, but is more atmosphereic with less bass than Informatik. Lyric-wise, Escape To Reality has a great theme that deals mostly with the concept of life, death, and making the most of the life one has to live. The best track on here has to be We Are, it's the main reason why I bought this album. If you like Informatik, give Din Fiv a try, but if you're looking for something hard and fast to dance to, Escape To Reality isn't the album for you."

Remarkable Blend of Industrial and Darkwave

"I tend to be an EBM addict by nature, so the fact that this CD was not a bubbling cauldron of adrenalin-rush electro was an initial barrier to enjoyment. However, the CD has its merits, and to be fair, it has quite a lot of them.The music is basically an Industrial base, augmented by Darkwave melodies. It is well structured and enjoyable, with great sonic variety. What costs Mr. Din a point is the horrendously distorted vocals, which are, quite frankly, excessively twisted and make Johan Van Roy of Suicide Commando sound like an Opera Singer.Overall, this album is above average electro album with a dark edge. However, it is not a club album, so dont look here for VNV Nation part 2."

Amazing synth pop/dark wave!!!

"It's hard to believe that Din_Fiv (pronounced Din "Five") is a "side project" for Informatik's front man, Da5id Din... From beginning to end, this CD is perfect, in my opinion. While very diverse from track to track, ranging from dark, moody EBM (Through The Looking Glass/Conspiracy), to more light hearted, inspiring, and club-friendly songs like "We Are" and "Infinite Paths" with Trance-like and ethereal programming, all songs are catchy with a good beat, and have meaningful and insightful messages belted out in bone crushing deep vocals, yet it never get's harsh like a lot of EBM/Industrial can, giving it a broader appeal. The sound is definitely similar to more recent Informatik. I highly recommend this CD - it's excellent throughout, and definitely stands out from a lot of the other one-hit-wonder synthpop [stuff] out there these days."
