"I bought this CD back in 1990 when I heard the song "Humans" being played on our local alternative station at the time. I thought the song was so cool, that I bought the whole CD and loved every song on it.
15 years later, I still have this CD and wonder who else out there does. I can't find anything about it at all on the internet, and in fact there's ANOTHER band out there called "Die Laughing". Apparantly, this group fell into the abyss. And that's a shame, because it had a great blend of guitars, bass, keyboards, real drums, and great vocals.
The music has an "80's" sound to it, but it's that "mature" 80's sound that was really starting to get good until the Grunge Wave hit. After that, keyboards were no longer cool and you know the story after that. But for me, this CD represents the direction rock music was headed with synths and keyboards. It's a shame there was never any follow-ups on the album and that I can't find a thing about it anywhere.
For those of you who like that 80's rock sound (not quite hair band), then you'll like this one. It's a very rare treasure. Although I love all the songs on it, my favorites are: Humans, Anywhere At All, Suspicion, Running From The Guns, Don't Stay, and Swept Away. But like I said, I love all of them. It's a great variety of music: some slow, some hip, some heavy, etc."
