The School Library Journal gave Mother Goose and her Fabulous Puppet Friends a nice review in March of 2009, which also serves as a good description of the CD. It reads: Multimedia Review, 3/1/2009, School Library Journal Maryland-based performer Diane Ligon has recorded the music from her puppet show to share with fans. These nine Mother Goose songs are cleverly arranged by Micah Levy in a variety of musical styles - Hey Diddle Diddle(country), Jack and Jill (classical), Polly Put the Kettle On (jazz), Little Jack Horner (march) and Mary Had a Little Lamb (salsa). Humpty Dumpty is sung three times, each in a different musical style opera, 1950s rock & roll, and M.C. Hammer-inspired rap. Tracks 14-24 are instrumental versions of the songs. Libraries providing early literacy programming for babies and toddlers might find these songs a fun alternative to use for their own puppet shows or story times. Great Interactive Kid Fun!

"I loved this CD! These professional renditions of well known nursery rhymes along with Diane's fun expressive singing are sure to have your kids dancing all over your home. The karaoke set of tracks gives the child a chance to sing by themselves and create their own concert or performance at home. A folder inside the CD has the lyrics and beautiful pictures of the puppets from the show which kids will love seeing as well."
