CD Reviews

Smooth-flowing 47 minute compilation

"If you like DFA at all, you'll love this mix.

I heard of LCD Soundsystem through a magazine, saw them live in Philly, and The Juan Maclean opened up for them. The Juan Maclean is another band on the DFA record label, and after seeing the ridiculously good show they put on, I decided that DFA was one awesome label.

This 47 minute mix is both an excellent introduction to the other DFA bands (if you haven't heard of them before), or a nice greatest hits-type mix if you're already familiar with them. The beginning of the mix is kind of mellow dance music, but it really picks up at the 32 minute mark where LCD Soundsystem takes over with amazing remixes of "Daft Punk is Playing at My House" and "Tribulations". It's been on rotation on my stereo since I got it - highly recommended.

PS. You can purchase this mix for $0.99 on iTunes, or whatever music subscription service you use."
