It was a pity that they only made one full album together in early 1970's. Ca'Purance is one of the best albums of Dexter Gordon and a real gem. It has the same quality with the classic Blue Note albums from early 1960's, which have been regarded the best albums which Dexter Gordon ever made. Hank Jones plays nice along with Stanley Clark and Louis Hayes in the rhytm section."
