Weird Devin CD

"Well, after the seriousness of SYL & Ocean Machine, Devin decided to make a record, more diverse & shall we say, fun & wacky?? Infinity was the result:
1. Truth - Possibly, one of the best opening songs ever, the music is powerful & the vocals are angelic & very melodic, amazing sound - 5/5
2. Christeen - A good old rock song, with the romantic touch changed by Devin, the end of the song gets more aggressive, just great - 4/5
3. Bad Devil - A strange song, a live favourite, a GREAT song, the evil monster verse part is funny & the female vocals leading into the chorus add even more uniqueness to this song, simply outstanding - 5/5
4. War - A longer song than usually on this CD, it is quite a normal song until he starts to sing "it's white noise" for about 2 mins, then it just goes mental - 4/5
5. Soul Driven - A song that doesn't really go anywhere, until the end that leads into the next song
6. Ants - The short burst of chaos on the CD, the intro sounds like The Dillinger Escape Plan, then the music & singing turn into a Chipmunk type affair, very strange but very appealing - 4/5
7. Colonial Boy - This song sounds majestic, very creative & epic sounding, all in 3 mins, amazing - 5/5
8. Dynamics - This song is a typical Devin song, until the chorus hits, then it sounds like God himself starts to do the music, HUGE sound, simply amazing, not a song quite like it - 5/5
9. Unity - Definently a ending song, not much to it, kinda like Elevator music, good ending - 3/5
10. Noisy Pink Bubbles - Not sure if this is song 10 or a bonus, but it is a good song none the less, David Bowie kind of sound - 4/5Overall, this CD is 5/5, once again, he changes his musical taste, to the more unique & strange kind this time"
INFINITE MAJESTY

"I'll make thjis real easy for you. If you don't go out and buy this album NOW! then you are indeed a very silly person. Quite simply, it is outstanding and unbelievable. The sheer scope of the music presented by the Mighty Dev is of epic proportions. Right from the tranquil, opening chords of the album to the thunderous blast of Truth's first riff, this is a journey into a new world. Truth's bombast is followed by catchy pop-metal pleaser Christeen - a song inspired by the musical Phantom Of The Opera, and culled as an EP track.
What follows next is my personal fave - Bad Devil. Opening with a haunting organ chime, it suddenly decides to get funky! This hybrid of goth, jazz, metal, ska, and even classical is one of the best songs I have ever heard.
War is a song which starts off well enough, until it loses it's mind at the end, almost apocalypticly. Following with a quiet intro, Soul Driven Cadillac kicks in with it's large, sweeping chords. After a moment of madness, Ants delves you into the insect world, giving you the image of an ant army scurrying about it's work. Wild Colonial Boy takes the tone to a much darker place, like a carnival of the damned. Dynamics rings loud and true, and Unity brings a fitting and peaceful end to the album. Which makes Noisy Pink Bubbles almost a bonus track, though a very able one.
Not a bad album really then."
