Product Description

It opens with the roar of Long Neck Goose and singer Mitch Ryder returns to Detroit with the band named after his city. Detroit the group rocks with gritty R&B while Mitch howls with the best of them on this, their lone record released in 1971. Includes the classic underground hit version of Lou Reed's Rock n Roll, plus Is It You (Or Is It Me), Gimme Shelter and the slow blues of Drink. The group also featured guitarist Steve Hunter and was produced by Bob Ezrin.

"Plain and simple.....Mitch Ryder and Detroit take us all to school with this album....it was great when it first was released and sounds just as good today....everyone into rock should own this cd!!!"
