Get Out of There!
Matthew A. Smith | Worcester, MA United States | 07/06/2000

"On Departure Lounge's first US release, Tim Keegan and his incredible band take you to a faraway land where positive thinking and making your dreams come true is not only possible, it's MANDATORY! On the beautiful New You, DL conjure up a blueprint for living a life that only includes who you are, and not who you should be! Stay On the Line tugs at your heartstrings as if you're a person in love talking to your special someone and never wanting to hang up! They Don't Know is an inspiriration to anyone who has been at odds in a situation where everyone thinks you're doing the wrong thing, but you know you're right! All in all, Out of There is a masterpiece of positive uplifting music in the mellow psychedelic rock sense! Hurry up and get Out of There!"
Don't depart anywhere without this!

"I first witnessed this band by them opening up for robynhitchcock one halloweennight. they were amazing live.i was lucky enough to see them again in chicago, so i know the first night was not a fluke. their cd does justice to them- it has great tunes to sing along with, or just to listen. it has been a long time since a band of their caliber has come along-everybody who does not purchase this is missing a wonderful experience."

"I had heard Departure Lounge when they opened for the Go-Betweens and then for Robyn Hitchcock. They put on a very intimate show. Tim Keegan's voice and the music draws you in. Based on the live show, I bought their import cds. Some of the songs here are the same as on the imports and some are remixed and some are new. This cd is a fine introduction to this band. I look forward to seeing them again and hearing more great things from then."
