Mike Haaga is back ! Long live the horseman
06/24/2000
(4 out of 5 stars)

"If you are not from Tx.,there is a good chance you have never heard of dead horse.Pity on you by all means go get "horsecore" and "peaceful death".You dont know what you are missing.after you listen to those two 50,000 times (and you will)check out demonseeds debut. This disc is much more polished and less cacophanous than either of those.I guess I should give you the connection between the two bands.Mike Haaga is the voice and creative mind as well as lead guitarist behind both bands.demonseeds totally kick a**.If you like it hard and heavy dont miss "Knee-deep""
Fan of rare excellence? Yeahh... Grab this one.

"The body of dead horse fans have long shunned this work because it embodies the worst of what can happen to a local up-and-coming band: a drug spurred breakup. Well, forget that. Dead horse fans have gotten over it - realizing that the body of work that exists is painfully slim, and with recollections of live dead horse shows fading quickly, fans have begun to scour the marketplace for these excrutiatingly rare classics.

Enter the Demonseed, Michael Haaga's aftermarket modification to his previous band, dead horse.

Here's where I cut this short: live it. Love it. It's great. Pay particular attention to the recelebrated Every God for Himself, the anthematic Fail, and the biting No Heroes and The True Demons.

Michael Haaga's artistic license with Superjoint Ritual's foundation. Brilliant."
