"Very good death metal. If an album gives me a specific, memorable, mental image through the music then it is something special to me, and that is a rare thing. This album did just that when I first heard it, and I still play it regularly. This album reminds me of a mix between Morbid Angel and carcass, but is just not as good as either by a bit. I left "carcass" uncapitalized because they are inferior to Morbid Angel. I'm just joking. Enough of my meaningless type...If you want some very good old school death metal, then definitely pick up Promises Impure.
Sometimes the music becomes stagnant for a few seconds, but then all of a sudden it picks up with a unique guitar lead, amazing bass work that you can HEAR (sometimes), or an interesting time change. I have to say that the music becomes monotonous sometimes, but if you like the drumming of Igor from old Sepultura this shouldn't be a problem. Very good and underrated/unknown album that surprisingly is for sale on Amazon.
Canvas Solaris, VUVR, Origin, Spawn Of Possession, and Theory In Practice are other bands that I listen to."
