"Like a pissed off angel, she really bites into a song, chews it up and spits it out with enough sass to make Lena Horne, Aretha Franklin, and etta James altogether look liek wimps. I mean thsi lil' gal sang with a growl like Big maybelel or Mama Thornton, only she swing harder, and always sounded best on standards with bag bands and orchestration!"
