(3 out of 5 stars)

"This is by far the weakest release ever from DEFARI. Anybody thats read my other reviews of DEFARI's work knows i hold him in high regard but this is a very disappointing album from him. The key ingredient when it comes to Defari's work has always been the production always pounded your eardrums and he rode the tracks effortlessly. This time around the beats he got for the MOST part sound like "casio keyboard" beats that so many other west coast acts use+dont stand out. Out of the 15 tracks on show here i thought about 6 or at maximun 7 were good. The rest are borderline mediocre, which is something ive NEVER EVER heard or expected from Defari. Also his lyrical topics on this just sound like he's going through the motions. He seriously needs to step it up again to where he was on the LIKWIT JUNKIES. I gave it 3stars cuz i love Defari's work and b'cuz of these tracks, "Congratulations", "Make My Own", "West West", "Burn Big", "Clowns", "Vultures" (the highlight) and the opening track "Hardworker" which was only tight b'cuz of the amount of weakish tracks on display. It actually hurts me to write this review being such a big fan but i suppose 1 speed-bump in his career so far is ok. Here's hoping that the next one is far superior."
