CD ReviewsOne fantastic song, but that's all Andrew Furst | Illinois, USA | 12/03/2005 (3 out of 5 stars) "Three stars for the album, but it's really 5+ stars for "Breakfast at Tiffany's" and 1 star for the rest. To my ears, "Breakfast at Tiffany's" is a terrific song from start to finish (great writing, great singing/playing, great recording quality), while the rest of the album is complete "throwaway" or empty filler. The other songs aren't offensive, they are just boring (incredibly light & pointless acoustic stuff). The "other" songs on the CD don't even sound like they were recorded by the same band that did "Breakfast at Tiffany's". What a shame that the band couldn't give us something else at least remotely resembling that one song (on this album, I haven't heard their others), oh well. So if you buy this, don't have high expectations for the other songs, just figure you are getting it as an expensive single. Maybe you'll be pleasantly surprised by some of the other songs, but unfortunately I wasn't." It is unfortunate that the record company didn't push other songs as much as this breakfast at tiffany's, like Halo, or I can wait, but some bands historically have to become one hit wonders. Like Dexy's midnight runners from the eighties with Come' on Eileen, or Gloria Gainer with "I will survive" in the 70's, and even "the byrds" in the 60's with "turn turn". Yes one song is great, but be objective, as a music fan, this album is good, just give it a chance."
